The ARC Training Centre for Current and Emergent Quantum Technologies (QuTech) has officially launched!
We were delighted to celebrate the Launch of QuTech with an incredible group of esteemed guests, researchers, students, and industry partners.
QuTech researchers and students from Adelaide University, RMIT University, and The University of Queensland came together with industry partners MOGLabs, QuantX Labs, Infleqtion, Lindo, Analog Quantum Circuits, Single Quantum, and Quandela to mark this important milestone.
The evening began with tours of three Adelaide University laboratories that form part of QuTech:
– the Centre of Light for Life
– the Chemical Engineering Laboratories
– the Quantum Materials and Technologies Laboratories
Taikunthi Restaurant hosted the official Launch proceedings, expertly emceed by Professor Anton Middelberg FTSE FNAI, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) at Adelaide University. Proceedings opened with an educational and engaging Welcome to Country by Luke Wilson.
We heard from Professor Nicola Phillips, Vice Chancellor and President of Adelaide University; Professor Ute Roessner AM FAA, CEO of the Australian Research Council (ARC); Professor Glenn Solomon, the Director of QuTech; Professor David Lewis, Pro Vice Chancellor, College of Engineering & IT; and Professor Nikki Stanford, Pro Vice Chancellor, College of Science.
