We’re thrilled to share that Associate Professor Jacquiline Romero, Deputy Director at QuTech, is chairing the UNESCO International Basic Sciences Programme (IBSP) Scientific Advisory Board for 2025–2027.
Jacq brings her deep expertise in quantum technologies to a global stage, where she will help shape inclusive, ethical, and impactful scientific policy and collaboration across regions.
The IBSP plays a vital role in strengthening national capacities in basic sciences and promoting international cooperation by:
– Promoting inclusive definitions of scientific excellence 🌐

– Supporting equitable access to scientific infrastructure ⚛️
